Thanks for your reply. I'm really looking for a needle-in-a-haystack!
Malachi Mannion is said to have been a Parish Priest who arrived in Claregalway with a young altar boy and established a parish church. If I can prove this story and find out where MM came from then I will be able to find info about the altar boy who may have been my great granfather Patrick Raftery.
