My research goes back to three brothers who lived at Cornapark townland, in the parish of Ardagh, Co. Longford, Ireland around 1800 - Thomas, Philip & Timothy Mannion.
Thomas Mannion (1780-1847)married Anne Cahill (1797-1884) Of Tinenare. They had 3 offspring - Brigid Mannion (d.1883) married John McLaughlin from Croshea, John Mannion (1831-1894) married Catherine Masterson of Lisnagera, and Michael Mannion.
The family name was changed to Manning around the mid 1800's.
John Mannion & Catherine Masterson had 10 Offspring.

If you think there could be a connection, please email me directly !!
