The parents of Joshua Manning 1782-1848) are shown by a number of family
trees as Jacob B. MANNING(1745-1819) and Sarah (Sally) LAWRENCE (1749-
1813)As outlined in the history of Delaware and Westminster Townships, vol. II:“..... after the American Revolution, Loyalists Jacob B. Manning Sr (d1819) and his first wife Sarah Lawrence (d1813) emigrated from Poughkeepsie, Dutchess Co., NY to Lower Canada with their nine
children”……….[.including] Joshua (1783-1848).”
Joshua’s death is recorded in the following references and his birth date can be extrapolated:
