Wm Manning ex-Western Pacific, San Francisco 1953
Can anyone shed some light on a William (S?) Manning who was working as a telegrapher in the San Francisco telegraph office post-war (specfically 1952-1953? He had English forebears (there was a family tree complete with heraldic shields on the wall), may have been aged c 50 years at that time, had at least one child (a son), had separated from his wife, was ex-military (Army?). My mother, who seeks him, remembers that he was living in the family home in Santa Clara County while he worked for the WP.
All leads, however vague, very welcome.
Many thanks, Katie
