Protests Against Pardon
George W. Manning has asked the newpaper to give space to the following card:
I arrived from New Mexico a few days and found after arriving that Mrs. D. T. Huntley has circulated a petition for the pardon of Grove Huntley who on the night of August 17, 1896, murdered my brother J. A. Manning, one of the coldest blooded murders ever committed in country. I appeal to the people of Logan County and to the people of Oklahoma in the name of God to refrain from signing the above named petition. Grove was convicted, his sentence being ninety-nine years in the pentitiary. ...
