Diane,
Thankyou very much for both your responses. What I am really looking for is a relative of Marion D. Manning and his wife Lucinda Beatrice Byrd Manning, known as Lucy Manning. If I understand your description correctly, the Dart Manning you list would have been your mother-in-law's uncle and if this is the Marion Darty Manning I am looking for, her aunt would have been Lucy Manning. Please ask her about this.I am looking for a family Bible of Pleasant Wesley Byrd and his wife Rachel Marinda Riggs Byrd.Lucy was their daughter. They both died in 1915 and 1928 respectively. It is my understanding that in the 1960-70's Lucy Manning had that Bible. It would have been most likely passed down to one of her children, that would have been a cousin of your mother-in-law if all this is correct.I very much want to see a copy of any births, deaths, etc that may be in that Bible.I know this is a long shot, but any help, a person to contact, etc. you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
