I, C.E. CURTIS, am offering myself as a candidate for the office of sheriff of Stewart County.I'm a member of the Cross Creek Baptist Church, a member of the American Legion Post, Dover, veteran of World War II, having served four years in service, two overseas and two in the United States.I'm married and have three children.My wife is the daughter of R. E. MANN of Indian Mound.I pledge an efficient, honest and impartial administration of the duties required by this office.I will be willing at all times to serve the people of Stewart County if elected.I hope you voters, when you go to the polls in August, will check my name over and cast a vote for a veteran of World War II.I'm out on my own on this race and will appreciate your help.I hope if the Lord is willing to see everyone of you before August.
