Mercer County Ky 13 June 1821
In the name of God amen, I Beverly Mann being in helth and proper senses and knowing that all men must die and after that the judgment do submit my soul to God who gave it and my body to the dust from whence it came and my little property which almighty God has bestowed on me, I do hereby bequeath to my children as followeth, to wit in the first place I desire all of my just debts to be punctually paid and if any be left I give to my daughter Dicey one tenth part of all that remains to her and her heirs forever, item, I give to my son Jackson one tenth part of all, to my daughter Polley I give one tenth part of all, also to my son William I give a tenth part of all, also to my son David I give a tenth part of all, also to my son Josiah I give a tenth of all, also to my son Thomas I give a tenth part of all and to my daughter Nancy I give five dollars, also to my daughter Betsey I give one tenth part of all to her and her heirs forever, also to my daughter Malindy I give one tenth part of all, and to my grandson Benoni Mann I give one tenth part of all and to my daughter's son Beverly Curry I give twenty five dollars with interest from the date-- and I do hereby appoint and ordain my sons Jackson Mann and David Mann my lawful executors to execute this my last will punctually as I have directed above and I do hereby acknowledge and protest this to be my last lawful will and testament whereubto I set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of June one thousand eight hundred and twenty one in the presence of
