Roberta, Thanks very much for your response. I have info from German Evangelical Luthern Congregation Churchbook & Register,Dover Township, 1847-1903 that a Mann Johann Philipp, DOB: 23-11-1866, PLACE: Dover Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio was born to Rosina Schneider and Johannes Mann, but I can't be certain that is my John Mann. I have the marriage cert, and his death cert, but it doesn't help me much. I know at least that he did exist, that much I can get from my mom.I have John Mann and Margaret Grove in the 1910 census Lawrence Twp,PG 34A with my grandmother and her sibs But I don't have access to census records. There is also a George Mann Dover Twp 1880 Ohio census PG:068D, that I think may be an uncle. I am planning a trip to Ohio soon. Maybe I can revive the memory of my elderly aunt and uncle then. They don't remember their grandfather as he passed while they were young. Before my mother was born. Thanks again for your help. I think the Grove family is my great-grandmother. Maybe his name was actually Philipp John Mann, and everyone knew him as John. He went as John Mann on the certificates
