Well, I am sorry that I do not have any
details on the marriage or progeny
of 'my' OLIVER MAN -- but will keep the
details you sent in the hope that you
can verify them. The record of death
should indicate the birthplace.
Anyway, I feel it is highly probable
that this is the right person, since
Oliver and his wife grew up in relatively close areas:
Lincoln, MA is about 10 miles west
of Boston
Wrentham, MA is about 25 miles southwest
of Boston
And Thomaston is about halfway between
Casco/Raymond and Castine!
Oliver probably knew Obediah, Sr.
since his older cousin was a "war
hero" from the Revolutionary War,
and he and his progeny staked out
very large land holdings in Maine.
They were only born 18 years apart.
So, here's hoping, and good luck in'
your search.
Liz.
