I'd like to information on my grandfather's pedigree. His name was Albert Percy Manley (b. 1880? d. 1953, Guam). He served in the U.S. Marine Corps (September 3, 1904 to August 30, 1907). The story I heard growing up from the family circle was that he was born in England, left home for New York, joined the U.S. Marine Corps, served Marine Barracks Naval Station Guam, and was terminated under Honorable Conditions Discharge. He was married to Asuncion Clara Luisa Rosendo on 29 April 1908 and had 13 children; my father was the third child. Birth record for my dad state that his paternal grandparents were John and Anna Manley. I found a birth record for one Albert Percy Manley born 28 August 1881 in the Sub-district of Hoxton Old Town in the County of Middlesex (Registration District: Shoreditch). Father's Name: John Manley. Mother's Name: Emily Manley (formerly Jones). (I'm wondering if this person is in fact my grandfather.) My sister found an entry in a ship passenger manifest of one Albert P. Manley arriving at Ellis Island from London in 1904. (Note that my grandfather entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1904.) I'd appreciate any information that would shed some light on my grandfather's genealogy. John Manley Notify Administrator about this message?
