According to the details to the draw for Temparence she drew land in today`s Floyd Co near the AL line.
Something to remember is that the District Number never changes after it is decided upon by the state of GA. No matter how many times the county line is changed in regard to that particular district the number will always be 15. And most of the time the lot number will always the same as long as it is not under water.<g>
Most of the time the orphans are registered by next of kin or court appointed guardians. There will be paperwork on these folks for this lottery on file with the Secretary of State of GA. It is possible due to space at that office that the folio boxes for the lottery are now at the State Archives in Morrow, GA.

When you sit down with those land books in each county and you know the lot number, district number, section number, and the year number you find yourself looking at an old soap opera.<g>
I do think you will find some of the surviving children in the household listed in the application to register for the lottery drawing.
