Manino Family Genealogy Forum

what i have on the Maninos are directly related to the Barrancos. i'll have to get on my computer since it has all the connections. but if i remember right.. your Sam Manino who moved to baltimore is Sam Barranco's uncle. Sam Barranco and his brother Charles moved to baltimore as well from colorado. and yes, sam owned a store, i believe. (again, i'll have to check to be sure.) but if you look up in the Barranco forum in this site, you'd see what i had posted here it was a little old,(2006) but i havent any new info as of yet.
"yes, i do know there's many Barrancos that lived there in Mexico, and Colorado. from what i understand, they emigrated there from Italy. you'd find several Barrancos listed in the records. i have 2 brothers, Charles (b. 1890) and Sam (b. 1891) Barranco, who moved to Colorado from Italy. Charles married Sarah (or Sasha) in 1911/1912 in Colorado. they had 4 children: Joseph, Charles, Mary, and Rose.
Sam married Josephine Manino in 1920 in Colorado. they had a daughter, Angeline. Josephine's parents, Joe (b. 1867) & Antonette (b. 1868), were both from italy."
you asked who i am. Joseph Barranco (brother of Charles, Mary, and Rose) was my grandmother's husband. i am not directly related to Joe, but he was my step grandad. i do know he had served in WWII, in Germany. and had several children.
