I found Lewis F. MANINGTON with wife Sarah (VAN CAMP) and three children in the 1860 Mitchell, Lawrence County, Indiana census. Nearby was John N. MANINGTON with wife Charity (ADAMS) and two children; William MANINGTON with wife Elmina (LYKENS), one child and mother Lydia (LYNCH); and Howard G. MANINGTON with wife Laura, one child and father Joseph MANINGTON. Lewis, William and Howard are three of at least six children born in Ohio to Joseph MANINGTON and Lydia LYNCH. Joseph was born in Pennsylvania and Lydia from South Carolina. My great grandmother was Buelah M. MANINGTON, daughter of Lewis F. and Sarah; born in 1862 in Indiana; married Oscar LEWIS. Buelah and Oscar LEWIS lived in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio and raised their children, Mabel D., Blanch B., William Earl, Clifford H. The daughters of Buelah and Oscar LEWIS married and raised families in Ohio; and the sons married and raised families in the Chicago, Illinois area.

If you have any connection to the above mentioned names, please contact me.
