I have traced virtually all MANICOMs back to a single couple named Charles MANICOM and wife Florence -- they married in or near Clyst Honiton, Devon circa 1682.
I have managed to trace the descendants of their daughter Alice bpt 1688 who married John SYMES Jan 14 1715 in Broad Clyst, Devon and their son Charles who married Judith CRANDON abt 1715.
Charles Sr was buried Nov 9 1715 in Clyst Honiton while wife Florence was buried Jan 28 1733.
Charles Jr and Judith are the ancestors of virtually all the MANICOMs in the world [except for those who are originally from India and such]
Charles Jr died between 1723-1726 because Judith remarried Jul 26 1726 in Clyst Honiton to George BAKER "of Woodbury" and had 2 more children.
I look forward to making contact with anyone else researching this family!!
