Jeff, did you ever get information on John Mangum, the
Rev. War Soldier? There is a book on him with much informationon his ancestors and his role in the Rev. War with many ancesstgors, living for the most part in
Utah. Contact the nearestg Mormon Church to find out
where the nearest local Mormon library is and they can
get the micrfofilm of tghe book. I think it is entitled
"John Mangum, Rev. Soldiers and his descendants."
His sons came to Salt Lake with Brigham Young and had
several wives each so tghere are many many Mangums in
Utah and surrounding area descending from him.
Let me know if you get info on him. He is very
orominent inMangum genealogy. good luck.
John T. Palmer, Phd,
Santa Rosa, CA
