My Great-Great Grandmother was Macynthia Mangham. She married Miles G. Turner in Putnam County, GA on 31 Jan 1832. For any number I years I have searched for the parents of Macynthia. She was born on 16 Aug 1802 and died on 26 Aug 1835. Miles Turner moved to Pike County and lived there until his death. I don't know if he moved there before Macynthia's death or not but it does seem likely that she was connected in some way to the Mangham's who made Pike County their home. She most certainly has to be the daughter of one of the Mangham's who lived in Putman county in 1800 but which one. Another thing which has puzzled me is that Macynthia had a daughter Elizabeth who married Christopher Shivers. Elizabeth and Christopher moved to Panola County, Texas about 1858. Could they have been related in some way to the Mangham's who left Pike county and moved to Panola County? I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has any ideas about who her father and mother were.
