Attached is what I have on the Descendants of daniel MANGHEM. I am interested in additions or corrections.

1. Daniel MANGHEM, b. Scotland; d, ? the IMMIGRANT (?)

11. Mary/Maritie MANGHEM, (Mac 2), b. Philipsburg, ca. 1738; d. Apr 27, 1823, age 85, bur. Sleepy Hollow Church Yard), [dau of Daniel Manghem.], m. Oct 6, 1759, in the DRC (prob Philipsburgh Manor), James/Jacobus Sie (Mac 25) (Isaac, Jacobus, Isaac, Isaac) (b. Dec 11 1738, Philipsburgh, bp. Apr 10, 1739; d. Aug 7, 1801, age 62-7-26, bur Sleepy Hollow DRCyard), son of Isaac Sie and Eva Foseur/Forshay, who lived in Kensico section of Mount Pleasant. He enlisted in Capt. Fowler's company of militia out of Capt. Deliverance Conklin's company in 1758. He was a private under captains Orser, Baker and Comb and sergeant in Capt. Requa's company, resided in Mount Pleasant, died Aug. 7 1801. He was a prisoner of war, in NYC, at the Sugar House. Suffering from smallpox, he fell out of bed, in a fit of delirium, injuring his left leg. His name is on the south side of the Revolutionary Monument in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. In 1785 the father's farm on Stevens Avenue was bought from the Commissioners of Forfeitures by his sons Peter, James, John and Abraham, his daughter Catherine Yerks and his son-in-law Thomas Powell. Lived at Mt Pleasant, and was known as “James See of Upper Cross Road”. His mortgage to Abraham Requa was satified Mar 18, 1802. He and his wife joined the DRC, Oct 23, 1762.

113. Isaac SIE (Mac 64), b. Apr 27, 1765, Mount Pleasant, bp. Jun 25, 1765; will Jan 20, prov Apr 4, 1831 (West Co Wills); d. Mar 1831; m. Jun 14, 1787, Elizabeth Martling (67), (b. Sep 5, 1761), dau of Peter Martling and Catherine Storm. Resided in Mount Pleasant. They lived on the road leading north and south along the ridge back of the Saw Mill River Valley, between the Upper and Lower Cross Roads.

12. Margaret MANGHEM, (Mac 3), b. ca. 1745; d. 1831; m. Oct. 13 1765, in the Dutch Church (probably Philipsburgh Manor), Isaac Sie, Jr. (Mac 26) (Isaac, Jacobus, Isaac, Isaac) (b. Philipsburgh, bp. June 7 1741, NYCDRC; d. < 1786, prob at Philipsburg). He enlisted under Captains Requa and Baker, in Col Hammond's 1 st Rgt of the Westchester County Militia, resided in Mount Pleasant. She m2. ca. 1786, Thomas Champenois, as his second wife, , by whom she had 2 children, and removed with him to NYC about 1791. See below.

Descendants of other Manghem/Sie children Mac 65-68, not listed by Mackensie. Listings for descendants of Isaac (64), not copied. Also Ref - Glenna See Hill, NYG&B Record, Oct 1983, p. 204-5.
Note: There is obviously a problem with MacKensie's records. He shows Mary and Margaret MANGHEM as dau of Daniel, but does not list them there. From the approx. birthdate given for William, it would appear that Mary and Margaret are sisters of the Daniel (1) shown above. If so, then there should be another Daniel, who was the immigrant. His children may have been born in Scotland or after his arrival in America. [Protzmann]

13. Daniel MANGHEM, b. ca. 1752-1762, d. 1801. Came from Scotland (?), before the Revolution. Served in Capt Requa's Co of Militia, (Col Hammond Rgt), and in Capt Thomas' Co (Col Thomas Rgt). Battle of White Plains. L. Mount Pleasant. IMMIGRANT (?).

Jun 1864, enlisted First NY Light Artillery. Petersburg, VA, Richmond, VA. Went to Sullivan Co, 1865. 1866, went to Port Jervis. NYC as a mason, then contractor and builder until 1875. Then went to Port Jervis as contractor until 1885. L. Monticello. Erected Opera House, Monticello, Real Estate. Director, Cosmopolitan Theater Co. Mason, contractor, Middletown, NY.

1318. Daniel Delavan MANGAM, b. May 1, 1828, Sing Sing, NY; m. Dec 5, 1849, by Rev Mr Keys, Deborah L. Horton, dau of Thomas P. Horton (193), of Mount Pleasant. Mount Pleasant Academy. Left home at 14 to become clerk in grocery store. Ca. 1847, owned store, Sing Sing. Sold out, moved to NYC, joined cousin William D. (115x.), who operated a produce and grain commission house in NYC, 92 Broad St, with mill in Brooklyn (foot of Degraw St, East River). Leased half of Pier 6, North River, with 2 floating elevators. Served NY, with export to West Indies, Southern US and South America. Succeeded to entire busine on the death of William in 1866. Dealt in corn, oats, feed and hay. Could produce 600 bags of ground corn/day. Baptist Church, Sing Sing. Trustee and Treasurerof Sing Sing. Sunday School Superintendent, > 38 years. New church Building Committee, 1871. 1860, purchased residence, Highland Ave, Sing Sing. Town Treasurer and Chief Engineer of the Fire Dept. Director, National Bank of Sing Sing. Trustee, Savings Bank.
