Hi Mike I've just noticed your posting on Genealogy.com My Mangans are from Limerick. Please have a look at what I have on them below and let me know if you can find any connections or have anything to assist me with further discoveries: I'm looking for any information on Revd Dr James Mangan DD,and his wife Georgiana Sandys b. circa 1846. James died on 02 January 1883 at St Mildred's Rectory, Canterbury, England. Their first 5 children were born in Ireland before they moved to England: Monica [b.19/10/1864 No.3 South City, Dublin], Frederick Meredyth [b.29/06/1867 No.4 St Michael's, Limerick], Ursula [b. 23/08/1868 No.4 St Michael's, Limerick], Adderely Holland. [b.12/02/1870 No.4 St Michael's, Limerick], Beatrice Emma [b. 07/01/1872 No.4 St Michael's, Limerick], Their last 4 children were born in England: Purejoy C [b. circa 1873 - 1875 Peterborough, Northampton], Mildred G [b. circa 1875 - 1877 Great Yarmouth, Norfolk], Agatha [b. circa 1877 - 1879 St Mildred, Canterbury, Kent], Ludlow S [b. circa 1878 - 1880 St Mildred, Canterbury, Kent] The third child, Ursula, married Dr Arthur Gale, migrated to South Africa in 1922, and returned with 2 of her children to England after her husband died in 1928. Wills 1893 "Mangan, Georgina of 5 Fairholm Road, West Kensington, Middlesex widow died 10 March 1893 Probate London 19 May to Frederick Meredyth Mangan, Surgeon, Ursula Mangan Spinster and the Reverend Samuel Sandys Clerk Effects £2562."
