Francis Mangan
Francis Mangan, for the past twenty years and more a resident of this city, passed away at 10:25 o'clock last night, at his home, 38 Kossuth avenue, having been ill but a few days.Mr. Mangan was born in County West Meath, Ireland, 76 years ago.He came to this country in 1853, locating in the town of Paris, in this county, where he followed the occupation of a farmer for many years at Paris Hill.In 1882 he moved to Clayville, where he remained until he came to Utica, in 1884.In this city he was employed as a laborer until eleven years ago last spring, when he met with an accident on the Bleeker street railroad, which resulted in the loss of both feet.Since then he had been unable to do any work.During the period of his active life he was an industrious and thrifty man, who was highly respected by those with whom he was acquainted.He was a member of St. Agnes' Church.He leaves his widow and the following children:Mrs. Lauren Rockwell of Canastota, Mrs. John Snyder of Utica, Patrick Mangan of Port Leyden, James Mangan of Little Falls, and Miss Mary, Lawrence, William, Matthey and Thomas Mangan of Utica.

Mangan-Wednesday, August 2, 1905, Francis Mangan, aged 76 years.Funeral this (Saturday) morning from the family home, 38 Kossuth avenue, at 9, and from St. Agnes' Church, where a mass of requiem will be celebrated, at 9:30 o'clock.Friends respectfuly invited.Interment at Clinton.
