Mary Manis Baugh parents?

I am looking to confirm the parents of Mary Manis who mar John Baugh in the 1820's in Greene Co TN. In the 1970's I corresponded with Aletha Fields of Winchester, IN and Del Patty of Columbia, MO. Both felt that she was a daug of William and Lydia Lawson Manes of Hawkins Co TN. However, I have never been able to "prove" this. The only will I found for William Manis who died in 1842 Hawkins Co TN does not list her. I believe that she is closely related to Margaret Manis who mar Martin VanBuren Fields. Again I feel she is closely related to the Christopher Manus found in Randolph Co from 1840 thru 1860. The children listed in William's 1842 will did not settle in Randolph Co but they did come to Indiana. Often Alsey Manis is also said to be related to Mary Manis Baugh but again he did not settle in Randolph Co. If you read the 1860 Randolph Co IN census, Mary Baugh is head of household and there is a William Manis b 1780 listed as living there. Who is this William? You can find Lydia Lawson Manis living with her daug Ann Robinson in Henry Co, IN. Can anyone help me. Thank you.
