Thank you for responding to my query. I believe William Maner's wife was Rachel Miles, and I base this on the following information:
From "The South Carolina Historical Magazine," October 1965, published by the South Carolina Historical Society, Charleston, SC, page 38:
3. Rachel Miles, born 1801, married William Maner, born 1795, and moved to Texas.
(The Rachel Miles mentioned above was listed in the publication as the daughter of James Miles (1769-, who married in 1793, Rachel Porcher (1771-1804, daughter of Samuel and Mary Porcher.
William Rachel Miles Maner and lived and died in Brazoria County, Texas, and are buried there in the Maner Cemetery, Columbia Lakes, Brazoria County, Texas.
I appreciate your interest, and if you have any information about this family I would like to share data. My main interest is in the Miles and Porcher families of SC.
