My family history has Ridge appearing as a christian name. So far as I am aware this first occured after 1800, the approximate birth date of Edward Mander. Edward was married in 1825 but I have not yet managed to find wife's name.
Their eldest child was Thomas Ridge Mander and he appears to be the first of the 'Ridge Manders'.
1. Did Edward's wife have the surname Ridge and was this surname carried into the next generation as a christian name?
2. Are there any Ridge Manders out there?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
