Thanks for your quick response. Please don't say you're 'flagging' on the Manders. I'ts amazing just to find someone who is from the 'Ridge' Mander family let alone someone who knows something of their history!
The Manders of my step-mother's family stayed in the London area - South London to be exact. They were tailors and had their own business called 'Manderbilt' (pun on Vanderbilt, the millionaire). I think that's how it was spelled anyway. The bespoke tailor shop closed down in the 1970s.
