I have an Edward Mansell, Sr. , b. about 1775 who was married to Nancy Bateman (both names questionable); they were from SC. They had: William, b. 1805; Edward, Jr., b. 1809; George; Robert; Richard; John; Rebecca; Rachel; and Sarah. Both William and Edward, Jr. had sons named Edmund. William and Edward were in south GA in 1840 and then left for TX and eventually LA. Some of their children moved with them; others stayed in the GA/FL area. They both married (sometimes without benefit of divorcing the previous wife) several times and had more children.
