I agree with most of your observations regarding Richard Perry and Thomas but I am not sure that Richard Perry sailed on the Hector with Davenport. As I have noted in earlier postings there are several records that indicate that Richard Perry was likely already in Mass. before Davenport's group arrived.
In the book by Jocob M. Price, "The Early Perrys and their Wanderings", the auther notes "The Davenport group left Boston and moved to the shores of Long Island Sound in 1639 to found the Colony of New Haven. In this they were joined by others in the Bay colony including Richard Perry of Charleston.I also would refer to Richard Frothingham's book "The History of Charlestown, Massachusetts". The author notes regarding the history of Charlestown, "The other inhabitants, admitted in 1637, were Joshua Tedd, selectman, John Mosse, Timothy Ford, John Brimsmead, Richard Perry". It seems that Richard Perry was in Charlestown, Mass prior to Davenport's arrival.
Another theory that I would post is that Richard Perry fell in love with Mary Malbon while she was in Boston and he left Charlestown for New Haven to marry Mary.Certainly this is only a theory but in th list of "New England Marriages Prior to 1700, by Clarence Almon Torry Richard Perry and Martha Malbon are listed.
