I have found that my ggrandmother was mary f. manahan, born in boston, ma. 1878. Her father's name was Richard F. manahan. Born in either boston or lowell, ma. I found that richard died around 1894-1898. His father's name was cornelius and was born in Ireland. That's as far as i can find. I did find that richard was a barber and his wife was from north carolina. I think her maiden name was nelson. I have heard that this was her second marriage and her maiden name may have been Raleigh. But on my great grandmother's birth certificate it says she was born in Raleigh, N. Carolina.
I can't find any marriage certificate in either mass. or nc. If you may have any infor. please get back to me.
Thank you
Susan a. Royce
