Dear Caroline,

Thank you for your help. My 99 year old aunt who just died was related to Frederick Mamerow (b. 1838/9). Frederick had a son, another Frederick, who was born in 1868 in Kendallsville, Nobles co, according to family records. I have checked the IN census and also found out there were a series of fires over the years at the Nobles courthouse. I even looked at Christian (probably John Christian) Mamerow. But I am not certain of the relatonship of Christian and Frederick (b. 1838/9).

Since there is 20 years difference between Christian and Frederick, we could assume they are father and son. But, according to MI death records and obits, Frederick's (b. 1838/9) father was another Frederick from Mechlenburg.

There don't seem to be any Indiana records of this Frederick Mamerow (changed to Mumro).

Do you know of anywhere to look?

How are you related to the Mamerows?

Gary
