Hi Maria,

I am descended from the Maltby line. Stephen Lee Maltby (b.07/1769- Parents Benjamin and Elizabeth (Fowler) Maltby.

Stephen married a Sarah Prescott (from what I can tell.) They had a daughter, Julia Ann, who was my gggrandmother.

I got this info. from another distant relative on Julia's husband's side of the family. His last name was Blodgett. I'm having a very hard time confirming this on my own. I keep running into a dead end once I get to Benjamin's marriage to Elizabeth Fowler thus producing Stephen. THEN, I can't find anything on Julia Ann Maltby. From what I've been told she passed away shortly after the birth of her second child -a daughter- also passed away soon after her death. She and her husband were supposedly living in the household of her parents in Genesee Cnty NY when she passed away. Their first child, L.Y. ( Ellnay?)Blodgett is my ggrandmother. Julia's husband, John Blodgett, later married her sister Sarah Maltby. They ended up moving ( to MI ?) then onward to Missouri.

Do you have any info about these Malty's that you can share with me? I'd be happy to swap info that I have come up with. My research, though not extensive, goes back to the 12th century.
