CLAUDIO & ALOISIA ROBERTS/ROBERE/ROBERT/ROBER are the parents of my great grandfather AUGUSTUS LOUIE ROBERTS, also spelt Auguste Louie Robert in British Naval records. Aloisia's maiden name is unknown. Augustus born 11 May 1866-died 16th April 1937. Buried unmarked grave at Hoddesdon Cemetery (outskirts of London). It is said he was either born in France or aboard ship to England. It is also suggested that on meeting Catherine Catson of Irish descent, he had to change his name from Robere/Rober to Roberts to serve in the British Navy based at Portsmouth, England from 1882 to 1903. Catarina Catson & August Louis Roberts were married at Senglea, Malta on 9 March 1891. I am seeking INFORMATION ABOUT CLAUDIO & ALOISIA who are named as parents to Augustus on Maltese marriage certificate. Any response greatly appreciated.
