Hi,
The Italian surname Gravino is of toponymic origin, deriving from the place name Gravina. The final letter "o" of the surname Gravino denotes the masculine form, and with that, a patronymic origin besides the toponymic one. In this instance, therefore, the surname would mean "son of the man who hailed from Gravina".
