Hi Dean,
Thanks for following up. I have read your previous posting about your particular branch, and although your info interests me, I cannot trace a single George Malpas/s anywhere within my groups so far.
Knighton ( on Teme ) is in Shropshire today, but used to be in north Worcestershire, before the county borders were changed. However, it is very close indeed to the towns and villages that my ancestors come from. I have studied a few maps of these areas, but was not able to find a place called Tyrley. (How sure are you of that word, I mean, what source gave it to you originally?)
Anyway, for this reason we may connect yet, perhaps much further back in the tree than I have yet covered. Sorry I cannot be of any more help at present but happy hunting, Philip Malpass.
