My mom's cousin is a priest who did some searching in Roscommon without much luck. I have:
*Thomas William Maloy, b. 17.03.1826 Roscommon Co. Ireland
m. 1849 Ireland d. 1922 Rosetta, NY.
*Anna Kenney, b. unk. d. 1904 in Rosseta or Gouveneur, NY

--James Maloy, b. 27.7.1850 Rossie, NY
m. 1870 NY d. 1925 (32?) Theresa (?), NY
Isabell Taylor, b. 9June1856 Canada, d.10Nov1925 Angola,IN

James & Isabell had 5 children, Marion, Charles O (my ggrandfather), George Blanchard, Clarence W, & Helen (who married Arthur Carr). Our family story is that Isabell left James because he drank and moved to Chicago, tho I'm told she may have driven him to the bottle. Charles worked on the El train until he bought a farm in SW Michigan, Blanchard & Clarence homesteaded near Yellowstone Park in Wyoming.

I know that's the pedigree rather than ancestory, but with my red hair & temper I've always felt close to these Irish kin.
