UPDATE:

We took a ride down to Brown County this past weekend hoping to find out some info on my great-great grandparents.

Lizzie MALOTT was married to Frank (John F.) WATSON. We know that they were living in Sterling Township, Brown County, OH in 1888 according to my great-grandmother's birth certificate. We don't know when, but we believe Lizzie died fairly young (before 1906) and that they were still in the Brown County area at that time.

According to Frank's obit, while he had migrated a bit to the north - Lebanon/Morrow, OH - he was to be buried in Taylor's Chapel Cemetery in Williamsburg, Sterling Township, Brown County,OH. We assumed that this was possibly so that he could be buried with Lizzie.

Imagine our excitement when we found the little cemetery (so little that we were able to look at every headstone at least twice and we were only there an hour!) and saw a WATSON stone in the far corner! The only WATSON stone there and it was NOT great-great grandpa Frank!! We believe it was his brother, William and his wife, Etta. Imagine how perplexed we were at that point! As I'm sure you've guessed, Lizzie was not there either.

So now we are trying to find out exactly where Frank Watson went when he left Vale Funeral home in Morrow that September day in 1945...
