I have a copy of an obituary for Wm. H. Malott from Randolph County, IN about an hour south of Ft. Wayne I think. Randolph County News
Wm H. malott Passed Away Monday (6-5-1931)
William H. Malott, the fourth child of Gideon and Eliza Malott was born in Deerfield, Randolph County, Ind, May 31, 1856. He grew to manhood in the place of his birth , was married to Sarah Ann Renbarger,Dec. 20, 1879. To this union were born three sons, Roy, Ray and Roe. While a bridge builder for the Grand Rapids and Indiana railroad he lived in Kalamazoo, Mich. He was a member of the Knights of Phythias order for about forty five years.
He was a good neighbor and was respected most by those who know him best. Mr. Malott has not been in good health for some time, and on May 25 he fell and the injury was of so serous a nature that he could not recover and in the evening of June 1, 1931 he passed away at the age of 75 years and one day. Years had come and gone and the bonds of home life had existed unbroken for more than half a century and thenhe who had been the head of the home went to the long sleep after the many years of toil and happiness here on earth.
Leaving the aged heart broken of wife and three sons, Roy of Ridgeville (IN) Ray of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Roe of Battle Creek, Mich.; two brothers Mell Malott of Ridgeville and John Malott of Fayetteville, Arkansas; five grandchildren and one great grandchild besides a large circle of relatives and friends.
His life is closed and the vacancy is made in the home. The mysteries of Go's plans so great are being wrought out.
