My husband's family story is that his gr grandfather, Michael Boosalis from Greece married Minnie Maloof from Lebanon. ( Lebanon depending on what year it is ) They lived in Minnesota and in 1914 Michael committed suicide. Due to fear of the Greek family taking her children , Minnie fled to California with her 5 children. One of the children was his grandmother. I don't find Minnie in the census, but maybe she was afraid to be found. Anyway, possibly no relationship.
