I am looking for information on parents of Sidney D. Malone born 1827 Ohio(probably, although one census gave birthplace as New York).Sidney (my grgrgrandfather) married Emily Gage, born Walnut Creek, Pa. whose mother and father descended from Walter Montgomery Gage(Gaige) and the Allen family. But of Sidney's parents, nothing. We just recently found his middle initial used on a marriage license as father of the groom. He and Emily lived in Geneva, Ashtabula Co. Ohio in 1860 and had Benjamin, Clara (my grgrandmother), Herbert, Emma, and Betsy. By 1880 they were in Wexford Co. Michigan with 14 year old Carrie. Sidney died in The Traverse City Asylum, Traverse City Michigan, 29 Dec 1900. Emily died Wexford Co. Michigan 1917. If anyone has any clues to where Sidney came from, I would welcome a reply on this forum or emailing me at my address. Thanks
