Willie Malone Johnson, 90, of 295 Haw Ridge Road, Piney
Flats, Sullivan Co TN, was welcomed home by her Maker,
Thursday, January 29, 2009, at Johnson City Medical Center
Hospital, Johnson Cith, Washington Co TN.

A native of Piney Flats, born May 6, 1918, she was a
daughter of the late Arthur and Lydia Blalock Malone. She
was a founding member of St. Paul’s United Methodist
Church and a member of the UMW, the church Treasurer and a
Sunday School teacher.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by
her husband, Ted Johnson; siblings, Irene Hamilton and
Ivan Malone.

Survivors include a sister, Hazel Hudson; nieces, Kathy
Cross and husband Jerry, Trula Warren, Ann Tipton, and
Judy Price; great niece, Nicole Fandel; great nephews,
Tyler Cross and Jordon Cross; great, great nephew, Bryson
Fandel; step-daughter, Sandra Hodge; step-sons, Ted
Johnson and Leon Johnson; special friends, Josh King, Ron
and Peg Kuhbander, Patty Spurgeon; and a special cat,
Blackie.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday
prior to the service in the chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home
and anytime at the residence.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday,
February 1, 2009, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City
Chapel with Rev. Dan Theiben and Rev. Mack Houston
officiating, and music by special friends, Kristie Hensley,
Dee Davis and Lisa Bowman.

Interment will follow in St. Paul’s United Methodist
Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Ron Kuhbander,
Robert King, Howard Spurgeon, Glen Malone, Randy Shipley,
Randy Nash and Jace Kuhbander. Honorary pallbearers will
be Ron Warren and congregation of St. Paul United
Methodist Church.
