REBECCA MALONE was born around 1805 in New Jersey, she married Ezekiel Hankins May 6, 1825 in Butler Co. Ohio (marriage record 1803-1836, Vol.1, page 209) she died about 1842 in Montgomery Co.Indiana. An elderly man in Crawfordsville who knew a lot about his family gave me the basic info on Rebecca (he said her nickname was Molly) He told me several families traveled together from Ohio to In., there were Hankins, Malone, Thompson, Everson, White. the family of Ezekiel apparently came from Ohio to In. between 1829 (when his daughter Rachel was born in Ohio) and 1837 when his son Henry was born in In. Ezekiel's family appear in 1830 census of Vermillion Co.In.along with a lot of Malone's. If this is so they moved from Ohio to Vermillion Co.In between March 1829 (Rachel's birthdate) and the 1830 census of In. Ezekiel & Rebecca had 6 children between Nov. 1826 and 1840.Their son Francis Marion Hankins was my great grandfather. Ezekiel's sister Mary Hankins married Francis Malone Oct. 1830 in Butler Co. Ohio (marriage record Volume 1, page 292)Francis parents were Hartley Malone & Margaret Johnson. Would appreciate any information. Phyllis Hankins Adams
