Hello G.C.: I research the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparse B4 1840, rare B4 1800. Note 1 - Without a KNOWN county, the chance of an ancestor's rcds NOT being in this database is AT LEAST 35%. Note 2 - Only 1/2 of Co. Cork's rcds are in this database. Note 3 - The RC church kept control over most parish rcds from Tipperary (north). These are ONLY available thru the Tipperary Family History Research center at a substantial fee (regardless of outcome). For Ann Malloy B 1849 +/- 4 yrs, Co. Mayo, with a father forenamed Pat(rick), I found 2 rcds: 1848 and 1849. For Wil(liam) Malloy B ditto, I found 0 rcds. For John Malloy B ditto, I found 3 rcds: 1845, 1851 and 1853. For Mary Malloy B ditto, I found 0 rcds. For Marg(aret) Malloy B ditto, I found 1 rcd in 1848. For the B rcds, I used a 9 yr search range. This may not be broad enough. Suggest you experiment. Also, see if you can find the common parish for ALL the offspring. For Pat(rick) Malloy M 1848 +/- 4 yrs, Co. Mayo, I found 8 rcds: 1844 Aglish parish, 1845 Oughaval 1845 Shrule*, 1846 Aglish, 1846 Kilbeagh, 1846 Kilconduff, 1850 Killasser, and 1852 Oughaval. For Mary Kelly M ditto, I found 29 rcds. Only 1 rcd occurred in the same yr and parish, 1845 Shrule. This rcd is likely for your ancestors - no guarantee. A view of the detailed rcd SHOULD show the marriage was to each other. If so, this validates the rcds. The view may also show parents' names and other info. A potential sibling for Patrick is Judy. Will let you search the database for potential Kelly siblings. Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Register, opt to be notified as rcds are added and browse. Pls post your search results to my genforum msg. Hope this helps. Good luck.
