Here's some of my old notes on his father which I had passed along to someonelse;
Lived and farmed in Adair, IA for 16 years. Gave farm to two sons. He was in ill health, physical and mental and was living in LaPraire twp with son-in-law James Hankinson where he had lived since he tried to kill second wife, Samantha (Clinton,) with a hatchet two years prior..[mallory 2 .ged]

Hiram P. Mallory established one of the first rural mail routes out of LaCygne, KS and when he retired, his son Leslie continued to deliver that route until his reitirement sometime in the late 1930's or early 40's.
