I read in a Scotish Clan History book that the prefix "Mal" means king or royalty and "loch" means lake. The Malloch surname comes from MacGregor whose motto is 'S Roegmal mo dhream (My race is royal). As for places named Malloch,I only know of one Malloch's Beach near Campobello Island,NB.Hope this helps somebody!Let me know of other versions of Malloch or other places please.Thanks.
