Hi Ross,
I think you are right about Wesley. I have a copy of pages in the deed book of the estate of William L. Mallatt, where the heirs are selling off his property, and Wesley is not listed.
I just found this in Newton County records. Robert, Hiram, and William are listed, as well as several apparent daughters and sons-in law.
