I have found a Michael Mallaghan from Tremogue in Termonmaguirk Parish Co. Tyrone who married Sarah Donaghy, and had a daughter Margaret, baptised 12 Jan 1838, a son Eugene, baptised 4 March 1842, and another son Terence, baptised 10 August 1850. I transcribed this info from Termonmaguirk Baptisms 1834 - 1857.

On the 1911 Irish census there is a Terence Mallaghan, age 75 from Tremogue who is very likely the same one. He is married to a Mary, and their children were Catherine, Sarah, Mary, Michael, Ellen and Lizzie. You can see the records for free at

There are other Mallaghans on the 1911 census and the 1901 census. You are lucky not to have such a common name to research - in Tyrone at least there are not too many Mallaghans around so they should be quite easy to track down. Good luck.
