RANDAL D. MALIN
Randal D. Malin, 81, of 68 Madrone Avenue, San Anselmo, was found dead at his home yesterday by a neighbor who noticed that his front door was open.
Death was apparently due to natural causes, according to the coroner’s office, which said that Malin had probably been dead about a day.
Malin was born in Pennsylvania, and operated a farm there until coming to Marin County 30 years ago. Malin was a self-employed gardener while in Marin.
He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Augustus F. Matthews of Santa Venetia, Mrs. Mark Swanenburg, Mrs. Carl Matthews and Mrs. Lester Matthews, all of Pennsylvania; a son, Clarence Malin of Pennsylvania; 25 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Keaton’s Mortuary, San Rafael. Burial will be in Mount Tamalpais Cemetery.

A Death Notice in the same paper states that he was the father of the late Mrs. Dorothy Hurst, brother of Julian Malin and the late James Malin. He was a member of the Fuchsia Club, Marin County.
