Smegorzow is part of the parish of Olesno. My family the Kowal and Ryczka(Ryczek) families are from the neighboring towns of Podborze (Olesno parish) and Gruszow Maly (Gruszow Wielki parish). The LDS (www.familysearch.org) has these films (2002760,2003190,2003191,2003811,2003812 - Olesno parish towns)(1896392, 1896393 - Gruszow Wielki/Maly). One of the Olesno films has an index from 1832 to about 1845 - it includes Smegorzow. I have not been able to find births, marriages and deaths for Smegorzow. I still have to search 996717, 996718 & 996719, which are related to Olesno. Of note, 1959914 is Nieczajna near Gruszow & Smegorzow. I recently visited Smegorzow and the priest was very nice. Unfortunately, I did not realize a few connections at that time. I'll be happy to share any info that I have with you.
