Hello All,
I am researching my husbands family of DARWOOD who lived in Malaysia from the late 1890's. I am most interested in finding out information about Robert Darwood b. c 1867 in Burma. Robert moved to Malaysia in the late 1890's and worked as a Wharfinger in 1896 but I don not know where.

Robert also worked at the Ravensway + Co Marbleworks with some of the Neubronners. He then moved on to Kampar where he worked in Eu Tong Seng's tin mine from 1910 where he worked as an engineer.

Robert married Sara Mona Burrows and they had 5 children; Norman, Harold, Marjory, Wilfred and Audrey.

I am interested in anything that anyone can tell me about Robert and his family. I believe that he died c 1968 just before he turned 101 years and is buried in Batu Gajah cemetery.

Kindest regards
Narelle
