No luck.

No Nicholas, Lesley, Raymond, Tom, Thomas,Jack or John anywhere near in time or place. No Stodard, or probable Sto*.
The birth of Russell which I found had the mothers maiden name as Watson. The only other probable Watson births are Audrey in 1930 and Jean M in 1939.

I can only conclude that the family were not using the name Makepeace (or similar)
