Dear Bill,
Welcome to the Makemson forum.
I understand that the John Makemson in question probably came through the line of Makemsons who came to the early southern colonies.
I have a great hope that the "southern line" would be near relatives to Andrew and his sons who came to either Pennsylvania or Maryland.
