I do have a little information regarding the Makamson clan from Leon County, Texas. Their is a cemetery there - have photos of the same.

I am still not being of much help with your problem but wanted you to know that I am willing to help if I can.

I was told by a researcher, Lee Makinson of Richmond, Virginia that the MAKINSON spelling was from England. Now I have really confused you.

However I am in touch a Makemson from Nottingham, England.
He has been to the Makemson Family Reunion in Danville, IL. on a couple of occassions, He had an extensive search done on the Makemson name in England going back to 1680 and in the report were several different spellings of the name.

I will be out for about six weeks with a trip to the west coast but I would like to stay in touch with you.
